Meet the Chef

Anthony Downing,
Private Chef

Anthony found his love of cooking early in life, working by his French mother’s side in the kitchen. Living and traveling abroad from an early age awakened in him an interest in multicultural cuisines. His mother kindled that passion by exposing him to endless new flavors at home, and the freedom to experiment in the kitchen. Over the years, Anthony has done catering, served as a private chef, and expanded his culinary adventures to include deep experience in the wine industry. Most recently, Anthony married his passion for wine with his love of teaching to create the Grapes to Glass Experience–an educational experience that gave guests knowledge and insight to deepen their understanding of wine, and thus enhance their enjoyment. Anthony is happiest when discovering new treasures in local farmer’s markets, preparing something delectable with them, and sharing that experience with others.
