Are you back to your old routine yet? No? Good, me either. I spent a little too much vacation time staying up until the wee hours of the morning and sleeping in. Needless to stay, getting up for work is just not happening this week. Or, it is happening, but very much against my will.  

That’s where breakfast-on-the-go comes in! That’s right, I’m trading my cooking time for a few extra winks of sleep this week. With this Chocolate Chip Mocha Breakfast Smoothie, you’ll have a smooth, creamy, and totally caffeinated (unless you like decaf, that’s cool, too) breakfast to take with you as you’re walking out the door!

If chocolate on top of more chocolate on top of a mountain of whipped cream doesn’t do it for your sweet tooth (because it’s almost Friday, right? Let’s get a little crazy), you could also add a banana in here. Here’s the thing about the banana. I actually made another version of this very same smoothie with the addition of a lovely banana. I liked the flavor a lot, while Drew didn’t like it at all. So, I agreed to leave it out.

But I never said I wouldn’t tell you about it!

So, if you’d like, go ahead and banana your little heart out on this breakfast smoothie. Fruit is good with breakfast anyway, right?
