Not to sound crazy – but this natural elixir has super healing powers! If you’re ever under the weather, feeling down, or just want your body to love you… make this! Turmeric is a root that has been used for centuries due to its immune boosting, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Mixed in with the rest of these ingredients creates a soothing tea that is perfect for any time of the day, especially before bed.
Combine the ingredients below in a pot on the stove. Let simmer for about 10 minutes with all the ingredients together. Serve warm in a mug and enjoy!
2 cups homemade almond or cashew milk – warmed up on the stove (if you don’t have this use store-bought milk)
small piece of of fresh, peeled ginger root
1 tsp of turmeric powder (I add a small piece of fresh peeled turmeric root too!
1 tsp of coconut oil
1/2 tsp cinnamon
grind of black pepper
dash of cayenne pepper (optional)
And now your body is on to bigger and better things!
